UNIMATIC Modello UNO

By TLex Introducing UNIMATIC and their debut divers model, the Modelle Uno. A Limited Edition of 300 pieces, the Modello Uno has been made in Italy in collaboration with leading suppliers ensuring the highest degree of quality at its price point.



Combing vintage styling elements with a performance driven design: it features a modest 40mm solid 316 Stainless steel case topped off by a larger 41mm unidirectional rotational divers bezel with coin-edging to ensure a firm grip.



The design of the 8mm in diameter screwdown crown echoes that of the fluted bezel grip. It has been fitted with a set of high quality gaskets, which along with a screwdown caseback and a double domed treated Sapphire crystal help to provide a water-resistance of 30 atm=300m=1000ft.



The water-resistance of each watch has been individually tested in UNIMATIC�s laboratory in Italy. The caseback has been engraved with some sort of conversion chart; the boffins among you will no doubt know exactly what it is ;)



The hands and dial markers of the Modello Uno have been applied with C3 Super-LumiNova lume which along with the anti-reflective coating of the crystal provide excellent visibility of the dial in all lighting conditions.



Timing accuracy is guaranteed by the Seiko NH35A automatic movement, which has been tuned to 21600bph with 41hrs of power-reserve and hacking seconds hand.

BOREALIS Estoril 300 PROTOTYPES

By TLex Here are a few prototype shots of a new vintage inspired divers model from Borealis.



The Estoril 300 is based on a classical military divers model that was developed in the 1960s with the current divers technologies.



It is powered by a Japanese made Miyota 9015 automatic movement manufactured by Citizen Japan with 24 jewels and beat-rate of 28800 bph.



The watch features a BGW9 lumed Sapphire bezel, a doubled domed Sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating on its inside, a 316L Stainless steel case and a 20mm NATO strap.



There are a total 8 different versions, so you choose between combinations of black or blue dials with or without dates and with or without an oversized triangular 12hr marker.



At 385USD this is quite a bargain! I have Borealis Sea Hawk and these are very nicely built watches for the money!

XAM Diver ONE

By TLex Here�s a nice looking quartz diver from Dutch company, Xam Watches. The Diver One has a Stainless steel case measuring 46mm in diameter with a thickness 13mm. It is powered by a Quartz Ronda 515 with date.



Divers features include: a Sapphire crystal, turning divers bezel, screwdown crown and caseback, silicone band, luminescent hands and markers, and 200m of water-resistance. It is available in 4 colors, which include: black, blue, orange and white priced, 169�. Reminds me a little of the Artego 300m.

The Nethuns Bronzo�s case consists of a unique formula of Alloys of copper and tin. It is powered by a hand-wound mechanical, Swiss made ETA Unitas 6497 with 17 jewels and a power reserve 46 hours.



Divers features include: a 45mm in diameter 45mm brushed bronze case, a 3.7mm thick brushed Titanium caseback, a 4,4mm double-domed Sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating and a water-resistance of 30 bar.

GYAVIUS deepMARINE

By TLex This handcrafted, hand finished all bronze beast with its brass dal is the DeepMarine from Gyavius.



It has a diameter of 45mm but if we take into account the special frame around its case and the massive crown, it measures around 60mm!



Special divers divers include: a handcrafted solid bronze case, a bi-directional 60-click bezel, a thick domed Plexiglas crystal, double O-ring Stainless back with engraved back brass inlay.



Water resistance is tested up to 10ATM; however Gyavius are currently building their own 100ATM tester, so they can see just how deep it would go!



The DeepMarine will come with a couple of NATO straps, a handcrafted leather one, a high quality hex pen for strap changes, a handcrafted watch roll and a genuine Pelican case.



The brass dial is with lumed hands and markers. Power comes from an automatic Swiss Made ETA 2824-2 movement.



Price is 2300USD. Reservation deposit is 800USD. The rest is to be paid before the watch is dispatched.



Just 30 watches will be available in the first batch! It ain�t gonna be to everyone�s taste, but it�s a pretty cool piece and I�d happily rock one for the weekend!

All watches in the Oceanmaster I & II collections have been assembled in Bienne, Switzerland right in the heart of the Swiss watchmaking territories.



The Oceanmaster I and II share the same basic cases.



Dimensions for both watches include: 47mm x 17.6mm case with a 56mm lug-lug measurement and lug-width of 26mm.



While the Oceanmaster I has an angular polygonal bezel and crown design, the Ocean II has a perfectly round bezel and crown with knurled grip.
